FRIDAY AFTERNOON
Welcome to the Aux Couleurs du Ferret campsite! Once you have packed your bags and your little vacation spot is ready, it's finally time to dive into this long-awaited weekend!
At the end of the day, why not let yourself be charmed by the oyster port of Arès, just 5 km from the campsite? Explore the Prés Salés nature reserve, a true gem between Arès and Lège.
End your stroll by feasting on marine delights at the oyster port.
Our culinary favorites: Cabane du Bout and Cabane 44 promise you a memorable taste experience !
SATURDAY
Your day starts off in style. Collect your delicious breakfast basket from reception to start the day right, then take your bikes for an adventure towards Cap Ferret!
Pedal the 22 km that await you, with stops planned to discover the charms of the Cap Ferret peninsula.
The outward journey takes place on the village side.
- 1st stop – CLAOUEY – You will find the tourist office there, for any additional information for your weekend.
- 2nd stop – GRAND PIQUEY - PIRAILLAN- Here are the Piraillan Reservoirs, a 39-hectare nature reserve, where the fauna and flora are masters (good to know – you can go there with your dog! they are accepted on a leash).
We also advise you to stop at the previous village, Grand Piquey, to taste the Dunes Blanches from Pascal, an emblematic pastry of the Presqu'île before hitting the road again. - 3rd stop – LE CANON ET L'HERBE – 2 emblematic oyster farming villages of the Arcachon Bay for their colorful cabins and their picturesque appearance.
We drop off our bikes there, and stroll through its little streets strewn with oysters and flowers... You will find many cabins there for an intimate tasting facing the Basin...
We recommend Canon La Cabane Reveleau, which also offers superb boat trips. - 4th stop – CAP FERRET – You have finally reached the end !
Take the opportunity to soak up the atmosphere, take a quick trip to the market, enjoy a waffle at Frédélian, and set off to climb the Cap Ferret lighthouse, to admire its breathtaking view.
For the return, opt for the forest track, running along the ocean side in a wooded and shaded area.
SUNDAY
After returning the keys to the campsite, head to Grand Crohot beach for an invigorating ocean stroll !
Then, head to the Bélisaire Pier pier for a boat trip with UBA. Opt for the Tour de l'île aux oiseaux, a 2-hour walk to learn more about the oyster-farming villages of Cap Ferret, passing next to Tour de l'île aux oiseaux and the famous Cabanes Tchanquées !
The weekend is over now, and you already want to come back…
