At the Couleurs du Ferret campsite, make the most of your family holiday, thanks to the various activities on the Bassin d'Arcachon.

Let's go for a day where parents and children will discover the simple pleasures of the nature of the Arcachon Basin and Cap-Ferret. Later, rendez-vous at the Snack-Bar. To enjoy a friendly meal or a game of board games with the family!

Nature, culture, gastronomy, sport: there is something for everyone!

During the day and in the evening, on and off the campsite, we want you to have a good time

a discovery walk,
a day at the farm,
accrobranche,
visits to oyster farming villages,
walks on the Chemin de Compostelle or to the reservoirs of Piraillan,
canoeing on the canal, on the Leyre or on the Bassin,
visit to the Dune du Pilat

A little boat ride for the whole family!

Excursions are organised and fully commented, every day, from the Cap-Ferret or Arcachon jetty. The boat tours will allow you to discover the Bay of Arcachon from the water in a simple and friendly way:
The oyster huts, the bird island, the oyster beds, the fishing villages of Cap Ferret, the Dune du Pilat, the peninsula.

In this way, you can combine the pleasure of sailing with cultural discovery.

Discover the south of the Arcachon basin with your family by taking the maritime shuttles:
From Cap-Ferret to Andernos, the shuttles will drop you off in the centre of Arcachon and on the Dune du Pilat

Children and adults alike will love climbing the 102m high Dune du Pilat, the largest dune in Europe. With a view to running or rolling down it!

There is no doubt that the panorama will amaze the whole family, which is why it is one of the favourite activities of the Arcachon Basin.

Children will love the forest:

Come and have fun at Robin Hood in the 3 accro-branches close to the campsite (less than 10 minutes by car). Adventure course in the heart of the pines: in these conditions, courses for all tastes! 4 Baby courses from 3 years old and several family courses (the Fisherman, the Climber, etc...)
Picnics will be part of the fun, thanks to the beautiful areas in the Cap Ferret forest.

Sandcastle competition: choose your beach!

Go with your family to enjoy the large expanses of fine sand and sun at the ocean beach of Grand Crohot, located 7 km from the campsite and easy to access.

Several activities await you: shell hunting, jumping in the waves, walking along the Atlantic coast or simply lying on your towel. In other words, enjoy the space!

However, if you prefer smaller, quieter beaches, you can also discover the beach of the basin 3 km away: La plage de saint Brice in Ares, where you can swim with the whole family. Unlike the ocean beaches, there are no waves on the Bassin d'Arcachon.

Later, you can enjoy a day on the unique beach of Les Lacs (17 kms away). In order to enjoy a water temperature worthy of the Costa Brava! If you are afraid of the heat, you can go to the shade of the trees that border the lakes.

Discovering the plants of the coastline with your family

Another of the activities of the Bay of Arcachon: the Flora Atlantica Farm. The whole family will be won over by the visit of the farm located in Le Porge (a few kilometres from the campsite). Indeed, this farm offers you to walk through a plant path. Thus, you will discover the mixed life of men and plants.

Walk and discover in the garden or in the forest, pick, make a herbarium, or bouquets. Then you will discover medicinal and toxic plants, take home and plant seedlings, draw French gardens, make ephemeral plant pictures. In general, there is something for everyone.
