Arès and Andernos : DISCOVER THESE 2 CITIES NEAR YOUR CAMPING IN THE COLORS OF FERRET

Less than 5 minutes from the Aux Couleurs du Ferret campsite, come and discover the towns of Arès and Andernos!
True small villages of the Bassin d'Arcachon, they are the program for your holiday itineraries in the region.

ARES
ARES

ARES

"It's all about nature"!! 4km from the Aux Couleurs du Ferret campsite, on the edge of the Bassin, Arès offers in its center all the necessary shops, as well as a small market twice a week.

After discovering the oyster port of Arès with its breathtaking view and its oyster huts, take the path along the edge of the basin. By this path, on one side you cross the Prés Salés nature reserve. The Prés Salés nature reserve is a place with a fragile ecosystem that offers walks between meadows and wooded dune.

You can also take part in a Nature outing with a guide who will share the secrets of this space with you. Information from the Arès tourist office

On the other side, still by the path at the edge of the basin, you are surprised to find the very first Ovniport in the world, built in the 1970s. Indeed, here it was set up in Ares to facilitate the arrival of our vacationing friends from the planet Mars. After this surprise, here is the Conches beach in Saint Brice.

In August, Arès hosts the emblematic OYSTER FESTIVAL, where for 3 days, you can enjoy the atmosphere of the Basin.
Between bandas, funfair, oyster tasting and dance floor, we meet there with family or friends!

ANDERNOS LES BAINS

ANDERNOS LES BAINS

8km from the campsite, discover Andernos-Les-Bains.
Andernos is the busiest town in the North Basin. It is a holiday resort where it is good to live all year round.

You can find its large pier, its beaches, its oyster port, its center, its pedestrian streets with its shops and its entertainment. Come and enjoy its pleasant indoor and outdoor market on Friday mornings, all year round.

Stroll along the largest jetty in France, 232m long, where a breathtaking view of the Bassin awaits you. It will be all the more wonderful if you are there at sunset.
Along the beach, barefoot, stop at the Saint Eloi Church. Take the time to discover the Gallo-Roman remains.

You are in the oyster port where you have to stroll through the 3 docks of the port. The doors of the oyster huts are open to discovery and tasting of course. Many restaurants offer products from the sea and the basin. We will be keen to tell you our best addresses for great moments of conviviality.

Beyond the port, take a stroll along the coast. At low tide why not go in search of shells on the foreshore. And in any case, if you feel like it, take advantage of the beaches (les Quinconces, le Betey,), ideal for families, because you can often find a shaded area there as well as games for children to enjoy the calm. of the Bassin d'Arcachon.

In the evening, with family or friends, you can have a drink, eat, walk, shop, dance. Many activities are offered throughout the year and a fortiori during the summer season.

For rainy days, you can take refuge at the La Dolce Vita cinema, in the city center.

As our campsite is a family-run, intimate establishment, with the emphasis on calm and relaxation, we are unable to accept groups.
Thank you for your understanding.
